For security professionals assessing threat intelligence vendors, understanding their options has just gotten more concise. The new Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cyberthreat Intelligence Technologies evaluates 17 vendors, which helps teams discern the strengths and approaches of each platform relevant to their needs.

Recorded Future proudly holds the title of a Leader in this first edition of the Magic Quadrant, a recognition that speaks volumes about their ability to deliver essential outcomes for their customers, such as intercepting threats before they escalate, providing autonomous intelligence at an unmatchable scale, and enhancing the effectiveness of existing security measures. “Our position reflects the trust our customers place in us and the tangible results we help them achieve,” says CEO Colin Mahony.

Methodology Focused on Customer Insights

The construction of a Magic Quadrant stems from extensive market research, providing a visual snapshot of where companies stand against both their stated visions and market realities. For Recorded Future, the analysts engaged directly with customers to capture their experiences: the challenges they face, their use of the Recorded Future Platform, and the outcomes realized thus far. This valuable feedback played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s standing within the report, cementing the customer voice as central to their development strategy.

The insights gathered by Gartner are not just retrospective; they serve as a guide for future enhancements. Following consultations throughout 2025, the company took significant strides to simplify access to their threat intelligence offerings.

A Shift Towards Simplified Solutions

One major takeaway from customer feedback involves the need for streamlined solutions. Hence, Recorded Future is unveiling four new solution areas that target the principal attack surfaces an organization faces:

  • Cyber Operations—Focuses on empowering security teams to monitor threats, assess vulnerabilities, and respond effectively.
  • Digital Risk Protection—Engages teams by protecting against online threats such as brand abuse and credential compromises.
  • Third-Party Risk—Enables continuous evaluation of supplier security, providing real-time insights and actionable risk ratings.
  • Payment Fraud—Aims to deter card-not-present fraud by identifying compromised data before misuse.

Each solution is built on a unified intelligence framework, designed to ensure consistency and performance across varied security operations. Integrations with widely-used security tools like CrowdStrike Falcon and Google SecOps make it easier for companies to harness Recorded Future's intelligence within their existing workflows.

Revised Pricing for Enhanced Accessibility

To further eliminate barriers, Recorded Future has introduced new pricing packages that enhance accessibility and align with customer needs:

  • Simplicity—Customers can now opt for a single package rather than managing multiple modules.
  • Full Workflows—Packages encompass complete use cases, equipping users with key functionalities.
  • Access for All—Higher-tier offerings come with unlimited seats, promoting an intelligence-driven culture throughout organizations.

Integration fees have been abolished, enabling existing security tools—such as SIEM and endpoint protections—to leverage Recorded Future’s intelligence freely.

Global Expansion and Autonomous Threat Operations

Recognizing that the threat landscape transcends borders, Recorded Future has expanded its operations into Latin America, providing crucial support and expertise to security teams in that region.

Further enhancing their product suite, the launch of Autonomous Threat Operations in February marked a potential shift from reactive to proactive security. This feature enables continuous defensive measures across the organization's security ecosystem, incorporating AI for automated threat hunting and correlation of insights within the Intelligence Graph®.

As Recorded Future continues to innovate, they're set on refining the automation of threat operations to help clients combat alert fatigue, streamline research, and execute threat hunts faster. The aim is clear: staying ahead in an ever-changing threat landscape.
